START BY DRAWING THE BASIC SHAPE OF YOUR KITCHEN.

Draw the walls of your kitchen. Be sure to include any structural features or obstructions will affect cabinet placement (closets, chases or bump-outs for ductwork, radiators, etc.)
NEXT, MARK ALL WALL OPENINGS (windows, pass-thrus, doors).
